Shopping Trip!!!

So, I have a bit of a confession to make...  No it's nothing too terribly scandaleous and some most of you probably have the same issue (come on, you have to admit it).  Oh, but I haven't told you what it is yet have I?

Well, I am a bit of a shopaholic.  Certainly not on the same scale as Becky Bloomwood but certainly worthy of the title.

So, in order to relish a bit more of the joy of my new purchases / scare off any nearby cravings, I'm going to write this blog to show you some fancy new duds I recently acquired for my bedroom!

First I have another confession, the headboard of my bed hasn't been attached to my bed due to a lack of motivation to do so partly and also because I knew it would cover the picture when I did attach it.

So, since I've decided that I'm not a fan of the only black framed object in the room anymore I also decided to attach the headboard.  Here it is attached.  See what I mean that it's too high for the frame?

 Now I needed something smaller to fit the space.  I went out to Home Goods (my new favorite place in the world, honestly, that store is like crack for home do gooders ((see what I did there... gosh, I die)) and got this fun print for $25!  I like the green as an accent color and the teal goes decent with my comforter.  I honestly thought they'd go better together but since the comforter is my sister's and will be staying here once I move I'll be getting a new one anyway.  I might go white with fun pillows like HERE or I also love THIS ONE from Urban Outfitters.

 Anyway, notice the pillows?  The blue one is my sisters I stole for the picture and the green one is my new favorite throw pillow (Also Home Goods $12) (Any other YHL readers think it would be a dead ringer for their green shag rug?)

But this is what it looks like now with my random pillows I've had since middle school.  Yes, the one does say Kiss Me (It was a V-Day gift from my mom).

So there you have it!  Anyone else have a bit of a shopping problem love? What about embarrassing memorabilia you still have displayed for some reason?  Hope to hear from you!

First Featured Post!!!

Today is a historic moment in the brief history of Countdown2Done!

Today I was featured on one of my favorite blogs, Twenty-Six-To-Life!  Kate has been a huge inspiration for this blog because she gave me the idea to start a blog which incorporated life goals in a to-do list style (which we all can say, I love).  Please show her some love by checking out her blog since she has made my day (actually all week I've been pumped about the feature).  I've added a button in my menu bar you can click on to see the feature she wrote or since I LOVE it so much, you can just click below!





She featured my before / after post however, if you have checked out my before / after section in my link buttons above you may have noticed there are some progress pictures!  I'll post them below as well for you to see some things I've been working on!

I'll post in more detail about the changes later but until then enjoy some eye candy for now (please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks interior photos are eye candy?)!

Pinterest ?!

Thump Thump.... Thump Thump... Thump Thump...

That is the sound words of my heart beating due to a new-found love, Pinterest.  This website love interest is absolutely the greatest thing to hit the internet since well, the internet itself!!!

Ok. So I might be exaggerating a little bit, but not really because anyone who has a pinterest account (did I mention it's free!!)  will tell you that it has been life changing (no I am not a spokesperson, nor do I get paid to sing it's praises, I just love it).

Oh, so by this point you must be wondering what it is, yes? Here's what it says on the website:

Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.

 You can find my pinterest by clicking on the pinterest button in the menu sidebar!  If you like pinterest feel free to request an invitation by using my e-mail address (britiler@yahoo.com) I have boards about many of my favorite things, DIY, home inspiration, my future wedding (not engaged, but one can still dream), photography, fashion, basically anything I'm interested in!  The best part is that you can see where someone found a photo to get directions to make, bake or create what's in the picture!

You can pin things to your boards from other people's boards or from the internet.  It's a great way to save things you'd like to do, wear or visit in one spot instead of mentally.  It's great for anyone who likes inspiration; teachers, artists, gift givers, bloggers, ect!
